Ver 1.0
George’s Path Through Improvisation is the result of a ten-year process of trial and error... recording and re-recording, writing and re-writing. It began with helping a few jazz students learn to improvise over moving chord changes. It’s the type of improvisation that presents the greatest challenge, but that’s where we needed to begin. The seed for this method was planted at the end of the path and then grew backwards to the starting point: basic improvisation with the pentatonic and blues scales.
